- Daikon radish200 g
- Wiener5
- Fish cake (Chikuwa)2
- Chikuwabu100 g
- Konjac noodles (Shirataki)100 g
- Deep-fried ball of fish paste (Satsuma-age)4 sheets
- Boiled egg4
- Tied kelp (Musubi kombu)4
- Soup
- Water600 ml
- Curry mix (Curry roux)60 g
- Japanese style granulated soup stock2 tsp
How to make
- Prepare. Peel the skin of the daikon radish.
- 1. For daikon radish, cut into 0.8-inch wide round slices.
- 2. Place in a heat-resistant bowl, cover with a plastic wrap, and microwave at 600 W for about 3 minutes until the daikon radish turns soft.
- 3. Cut fish cake (chikuwa) in half. Slice chikuwabu diagonally into 4 equal pieces.
- 4. Cut several notches into the sausages diagonally.
- 5. Add the soup ingredients to a pot and bring to a boil over medium heat. Once the curry roux has melted, add the ingredients from Step 2, 3, 4 and the rest of the oden ingredients and cover with a lid. Heat over low heat for about 20 minutes, then remove from the heat once everything is cooked through.
- 6. Serve on a plate and it's done!
