  • Gyoza wrappers

  • Rice cake (Mochi)

  • Japanese leek
    10 cm
  • Shredded pizza cheeze
    40 g
  • (A)Japanese Mayonnaise
    1 tbsp
  • (A)Soy sauce
    1/2 tbsp
  • Nori seaweed
    as needed

How to make

  1. 1. Cut the rice cake (kirimochi) into 0.4-inch cubes. Thinly slice the Japanese leeks.
  2. 2. Put ingredient (A) in a bowl and mix together.
  3. 3. Spread Step 2 thinly on the gyoza wrappers, and top with Step 1 and shredded pizza cheese. Place them on a baking tray covered with aluminum foil, and bake in a toaster oven for about 4 minutes until the kirimochi is tender.
  4. 4. Cover with nori seaweed and it is ready.

Tips for cooking

The cooking degree depends on the type of toaster you are using, so please adjust the temperature as you check the conditions. This time it's baked at 1000W 220°C (430°F).
