- Pork belly100 g
- Cabbage50 g
- Cream cheese50 g
- Batter
- Eggs1
- Cake flour (Pastry flour)100 g
- Water50 ml
- Japanese style granulated soup stock1 tsp
- Salad oil1 tbsp
- Toppings
- Thickened Japanese worcestershire sauce2 tbsp
- Japanese Mayonnaise2 tbsp
- bonito flakesas needed
- Dried green seaweed flakes (Aonori)as needed
How to make
- 1. Cut cabbage into strips.
- 2. Cut the cream cheese into 0.8-inch sized cubes.
- 3. Cut pork belly to 1-inch wide pieces.
- 4. Add the batter ingredients into a bowl and mix until the mixture is no longer powdery, then lightly mix in the ingredients prepared in Step 1, 2, and 3.
- 5. Place cooking oil into a pan heated over medium heat and pour in the mixture made in Step 4. Once it turns brown, turn it over, cover with a lid, and cook over low heat for about 3 minutes until it is cooked through.
- 6. Serve on a plate, put some toppings and it is ready!
Tips for cooking
You can also add other cheeses in the place of cream cheese. You can adjust the amount of toppings to your liking.
