- Tempura flour1 tbsp
- Batter
- Black roasted sesame seeds1 tsp
- Tempura flour50 g
- Cold water100 ml
- Frying oilas needed
- Bamboo leaf1 sheets

How to make
- Prepare. Wash the sweet potatoes well.
- 1. Cut the sweet potato into a 0.4-inch wide round slices with the skin on, soak in water for about 10 minutes and drain.
- 2. Put the sweet potatoes from Step 1 in a bowl and cover with tempura flour.
- 3. In a separate bowl, mix together the ingredients for the batter and put the potatoes through the liquid.
- 4. Pour frying oil until it reaches about 2-inch from the bottom of the pot, heat to 160°C (320°F), add the potatoes from Step 3 and fry for about 4 minutes until it is cooked through, then drain the oil.
- 5. Serve on a plate garnished with bamboo leaves, sprinkle some salt and it's done!
Tips for cooking
The standard of the temperature of frying oil is when a small amount of batter sinks to the bottom of the pot, then comes back up. Please cook the sweet potatoes until it is soft enough to stick a skewer through.
