- Rice150 g
- bonito flakes5 g
- (A)Soy sauce1 tbsp
- (A)Japanese sweet cooking wine (Mirin)1.5 tsp
- Salad oil1 tsp
- Garnish
- Green shiso leaves2 sheets
How to make
- Prepare. Cut off the stem of the green shiso leaves.
- 1. Put the rice and bonito flakes in a bowl and mix together. Divide it into 6 equal parts, wrap it in plastic wrap and grip it into a round shape.
- 2. Put ingredient (A) in a bowl and mix together.
- 3. Cover baking tray with aluminum foil and spread cooking oil thinly with a paper towel. Place the rice ball from Step 1 and bake in the toaster oven for 5 minutes. Take it out once and brush on the mixture made in Step 2. Place in toaster oven again and bake for 2 minutes.
- 4. After taking it out and turning it over, brush on the mixture and put it in toaster oven again and bake for 2 minutes.
Tips for cooking
If you like, you can spread the mixture made in Step 2 on both sides and bake it again to make it more fragrant. The cooking degree depends on the type of toaster you are using, so please adjust the temperature as you check the conditions. This time it's baked at 1000W 180°C (360°F). Toasters have a limited space inside which makes the food close to the heat source, so it has a risk of smoke or catching fire due to oil dropping or splashing. Keep an eye on the toaster while it is heating.
