Mayonnaise Chicken and Crunchy Lettuce Wrap - Recipe Video

Ingredients 1 whole roll
- Sushi Rice
- Rice150 g
- Sushi vinegar1 tbsp
- Chicken breast40 g
- Japanese Mayonnaise1.5 tbsp
- Lettuce20 g
- Nori seaweed1 sheets
- Roasted white sesame seedsas needed
How to make
- 1. Put the rice and sushi vinegar in a bowl, mix well, and let cool.
- 2. Cut lettuce into thin strips.
- 3. After putting chicken breast into a heat-resistant bowl, cover with plastic wrap and microwave at 500 W for 2 minutes until it is cooked through.
- 4. After it cools down, loosen it, add the mayonnaise and mix well.
- 5. Place nori seaweed on a bamboo mat, then place the rice from Step 1, then lettuce from Step 2 and finally chicken from 4. When doing this, leave 2cm open space at the top edge, and roll from the front.
- 6. Wrap a rubber band around the ends of the rolled bamboo mat from Step 5 and leave for about 5 minutes.
- 7. Cut it into 2 cm wide pieces, serve on a plate, sprinkle white roasted sesame seeds and it's done!
Tips for cooking
When cutting the finished product, it is easier to cut it by dipping the knife in water once at a time. It is easier to roll if you put the ingredients on the rice so that they do not stick out from the sides. The lettuce will soften if you put them on the rice while it is still warm. Letting it cool beforehand will allow the lettuce to stay crunchy.
