- Chicken tender6
- Green shiso leaves10 sheets
- Salt2 three finger pinches

- Tempura flour100 g
- Milk100 ml
- Japanese Mayonnaise2 tbsp
- Powdered cheese1 tbsp
- Frying oilas needed
- Coarsely ground black peppera pinch
- Salt1/2 tsp
How to make
- 1. Cut off the stems of the green shiso leaves and roughly chop them.
- 2. Remove the tendon from the chicken tenders and cut it into 0.8-inch pieces.
- 3. In a bowl, add and mix Step 1, Step 2, and salt.
- 4. Make the batter. In a separate bowl, mix the ingredients for the batter one by one, and dip Step 3 into it.
- 5. Pour 1-inch depth of frying oil into a pot, heat to 180℃ (356°F), and add Step 4. Deep fry for about 4 minutes until the chicken tenders are cooked thoroughly and start to brown, then drain off the oil.
- 6. Place on a plate, sprinkle with coarsely ground black pepper, serve with salt, and it's ready.
Tips for cooking
You can substitute chicken tenders with chicken breast. Please do not mix too much when you combine the batter.
