- Beef tongue200 g
- Mizuna mustard greens100 g
- Carrot100 g
- Japanese leek1
- Water600 ml
- Cooking sake200 ml
- Japanese style granulated soup stock1 tsp
- Ponzu sauce4 tbsp
How to make
- Prepare. Cut off the root of the mizuna mustard greens. Peel the carrots. Cut off the roots and blue parts of the Japanese leeks.
- 1. Cut the mizuna mustard greens into 2-inch pieces. Cut the carrots into thin strips. Slice the Japanese leeks diagonally.
- 2. Put the water, cooking sake, and Japanese style granulated soup stock in a clay pot over medium heat.
- 3. When it comes to a boil, dip the beef tongue and Step 1 into the pot, and once it's cooked through, it's ready. Serve with ponzu sauce if you like.
Tips for cooking
Please use vegetables as you like. You can also enjoy noodle soup base (mentsuyu) or dashi soy sauce instead of ponzu sauce.
