  • Frozen udon noodles

  • Spicy pollack roe
    1/2
  • Cream Sauce
  • Processed soy milk
    130 ml
  • Salted butter
    10 g
  • Noodle soup base (Mentsuyu, 2x concentrate [1 mentsuyu : 1 water])
    2 tbsp
  • Powdered cheese
    1 tbsp
  • Toppings
  • Young green onion (Konegi)
    as needed
  • Black pepper
    as needed

How to make

  1. Prepare. Remove the thin skin from spicy pollack/cod roe (mentaiko) and loosen it.
  2. 1. Put udon noodles in a heat-resistant container, cover it with plastic wrap, and heat it in a microwave oven following the instructions on the package, and thaw.
  3. 2. Add the cream sauce ingredients to a pot and heat over medium heat until right before it starts boiling.
  4. 3. Add 2/3 of mentaiko, mix together, and pour over the udon from Step 1.
  5. 4. Add the rest of mentaiko, sprinkle young green onion (konegi), black pepper and it is done!

Tips for cooking

You can substitute processed soy milk with regular milk. You can adjust the seasoning to your liking. You can use the udon noodles of your choice. Heating conditions may vary depending on the type of microwave, the type of heat-resistant container, and the condition of the ingredients. Please check the condition and adjust the heating time as necessary. Separation may occur if processed soy milk is heated too much, so please be careful.
