- Chicken breast200 g
- Garlic1
- Ginger20 g
- (A)Sake1 tbsp
- (A)Japanese sweet cooking wine (Mirin)1/2 tbsp
- (A)Salt and pepper mix1/3 tsp
- Starch3 tbsp
- Frying oilas needed
- Grated daikon radish50 g
- Cherry tomato3
- Lettuceas needed
How to make
- Prepare. Drain excess moisture from the grated daikon radish.
- 1. Peel and mince the ginger. Mince the garlic.
- 2. After sticking a fork all over the chicken breast, cut it into bite-sized pieces and put them in a bowl.
- 3. Add the ingredients prepared in Step 1 and ingredient (A), rub well with your hands, cover with plastic wrap, and leave for about 10 minutes to let the flavors blend.
- 4. Add starch and cover the chicken.
- 5. Pour frying oil into the pan until it reaches about 2 cm (0.8 -inch) high from the bottom. Heat it to 170°C and fry the chickens made in Step 4 for about 5 minutes.
- 6. When everything turns golden brown and is cooked through, drain the oil, place on a plate with lettuce and cherry tomatoes, garnish with grated daikon radish and it is ready!
Tips for cooking
By making a hole in chicken breast with a fork, it becomes easier for the taste to be absorbed and it also allows it to become softer. You can adjust the amount of salt to your liking.
