- Pork belly50 g
- Japanese leek1
- Young green onion (Konegi)30 g
- Batter
- Cake flour (Pastry flour)100 g
- Eggs1
- Water50 ml
- Japanese style granulated soup stock1 tsp
- Salad oil1 tbsp
- Toppings
- Okonomiyaki sauce1 tbsp
- Japanese Mayonnaise1 tbsp
How to make
- Prepare. Cut off the roots of Japanese leeks and young green onion (konegi).
- 1. Slice the Japanese leek diagonally.
- 2. Slice the konegi into small pieces.
- 3. Mix dough ingredients in a bowl, then add Step 1 and mix together.
- 4. Add cooking oil to a pan heated over medium heat, pour in Step 3, and top with pork belly.
- 5. When the pork is browned, turn it over and continue cooking over medium heat.
- 6. When the meat is cooked, remove it from the heat.
- 7. Serve it on a plate, add okonomiyaki sauce and mayonnaise, top it with Step 2, and it's ready.
Tips for cooking
This time, we put okonomiyaki sauce and mayonnaise on top. You can add bonito flakes and Dried green seaweed flakes (Aonori) if you like.
