- Fish cake (Chikuwa)5
- Japanese Mayonnaise3 tbsp
- Dried green seaweed flakes (Aonori)1 tbsp
- Powdered cheese1/2 tbsp
How to make
- 1. Cut fish cake (chikuwa) diagonally to the width of 0.8-inch.
- 2. Add mayonnaise, dried green seaweed flakes (aonori), and cheese powder together in a bowl, then add Step 1 and mix well.
- 3. Spread out on a baking tray covered with aluminum foil and bake in a toaster oven for 5 to 6 minutes until browned. Transfer to a plate and it's ready to serve.
Tips for cooking
Please adjust the amount of seasonings to your liking. The cooking degree depends on the type of toaster you are using, so please adjust the temperature as you check the conditions. This time it's baked at 1000 W 220°C (430°F). Toasters have a limited space inside which makes the food close to the heat source, so it has a risk of smoke or catching fire due to oil dropping or splashing.
