- Chicken thigh200 g
- Salt and pepper mixa pinch
- Starch1 tbsp
- Frying oilas needed
- Japanese leek1/3

- Ponzu sauce2 tbsp
- Sesame oil1 tbsp
- Sugar1 tsp
- Grated ginger1 tsp
- Tomato2 slice(s)
- Leaf lettuce1 sheets
How to make
- Prepare. Remove any excess fat and tendons from chicken thighs. Preheat the frying oil to 160°C (320°F).
- 1. Sprinkle the chicken thighs with salt and pepper mix and dust with starch.
- 2. Pour 1-inch depth of frying oil into a pan, heat to 160℃ (320°F), and deep fry Step 1 for about 8 minutes until it is golden brown and cooked inside.
- 3. Roughly chop Japanese leeks.
- 4. Combine the sauce ingredients and Step 3.
- 5. Arrange Step 2 on a plate with tomatoes and leaf lettuce, pour Step 4 on top, and it's ready to serve.
Tips for cooking
Chicken thighs can be substituted with chicken breast or tenders. Depending on the type of ponzu sauce, there are some with strong acidity and some with strong sweetness, so please adjust the amount of sugar to your taste. Please adjust the amount of oil depending on your pot.
