- Sandwich bread (6 slice pack, 2cm width)2 sheets
- Chicken thigh250 g
- (A)Soy sauce2 tbsp
- (A)Cooking sake2 tbsp
- (A)Japanese sweet cooking wine (Mirin)2 tbsp
- (A)Sugar1 tbsp
- Japanese Mayonnaise2 tsp
- Nori seaweedas needed
- Salad oil1 tsp
- Garnish
- Green leaf lettuceas needed
How to make
- 1. Cut the chicken thighs into 0.6-inch cubes.
- 2. Heat a pan over medium heat, cover with cooking oil, and stir-fry Step 1.
- 3. When cooked through, add ingredient (A), and remove from heat when the sauce thickens.
- 4. Place Step 3 on sandwich bread and top with mayonnaise. Place it on a baking tray covered with aluminum foil and bake in a toaster oven until browned, about 3 minutes.
- 5. Place the green leaf lettuce and Step 4 on a plate, sprinkle with nori seaweed and it's ready.
Tips for cooking
The cooking degree depends on the type of toaster you are using, so please adjust the temperature as you check the conditions. This time it's baked at 1000W 220°C (430°F). Toasters have a limited space inside which makes the food close to the heat source, so it has a risk of smoke or catching fire due to oil dropping or splashing. Keep an eye on the toaster while it is heating.
