Ingredients 1 cake (6×3×2-inch mold)
- Bread flour80 g
- Cane sugar80 g
- Egg yolk3
- Egg whites3
- Milk40 ml
- Salad oil1.5 tbsp
- Honey1 tbsp
- Crystal sugar1/2 tbsp
How to make
- Prepare. Line the mold with parchment paper. Preheat the oven to 180°C (360°F).
- 1. Put egg yolks and honey in a bowl and mix with a whisk.
- 2. When the mixture is evenly mixed and whitish, mix the cooking oil and milk with a whisk.
- 3. In a separate bowl, beat egg whites with a hand mixer. When it starts to bubble, add cane sugar and beat again until it forms peaks.
- 4. Add 1/3 of Step 3 to Step 2 and mix well, then add the remaining Step 3 and mix lightly.
- 5. Sift in bread flour and mix lightly with a rubber spatula.
- 6. Spread Step 5 into the mold by placing about 0.2-inch from the bottom of the mold, sprinkle crystal sugar all over, pour in the remaining Step 5, bake in the oven at 180°C (360°F) for 10 minutes, then bake at 160°C (320°F) for 40 minutes.
- 7. If you insert a bamboo skewer into the cake and it doesn't stick to a sticky dough, remove it from the mold and let it cool down. It is ready.
Tips for cooking
This recipe uses honey. Please be careful not to let children below the age of 1 (infants) consume them. You can substitute honey with sugar, but since the sweetness varies depending on the type, we recommend adjusting the taste to your liking. Please make sure to preheat the oven before baking. If the oven does not have a preheating function, set the temperature and heat for 10 minutes before baking. The strength of the heat may vary depending on the type of oven and the period of use. Please make sure to follow the recipe as a guide but adjust the baking time as needed. If it browns too fast, cover it with aluminum foil.
