- Turnip80 g
- Potato80 g
- Thin fried tofu (Abura-age)1 sheets
- Hot water400 ml
- Japanese style granulated soup stock1 tsp
- Miso1 tbsp
- Young green onion (Konegi)as needed
How to make
- Prepare. Peel turnips. Remove sprouts and peel potatoes. Remove the oil from thin fried tofu (abura-age).
- 1. Cut the turnips and potatoes into 0.4-inch cubes.
- 2. Cut the abura-age into 0.4-inch strips.
- 3. Heat water and Step 1 in a pot over medium heat. When it boils, add Japanese style granulated soup stock and Step 2, mix, and heat over medium heat for about 2 minutes.
- 4. When the turnips and potatoes are cooked through, reduce the heat to low and beat in the miso.
- 5. Serve in a bowl, sprinkle with young green onions (konegi), and it's ready.
Tips for cooking
Adjust the amount of miso to your liking. Do not boil after adding miso, as it easily loses its flavor.
