How to make
- 1. Cut sweet potatoes into 0.4-inch wide slices with the skin on, and soak them in water for about 10 minutes.
- 2. Mix the batter ingredients in a bowl until the flour is completely dissolved, then dip the drained sweet potato into the batter.
- 3. Pour 1-inch of oil into a deep-fry pot and heat to 160℃ (320°F), then add Step 2. Deep fry for about 4 minutes until cooked thoroughly, then drain the oil.
- 4. Arrange it on a plate and set salt aside, and it's ready to serve.
Tips for cooking
Deep fry the sweet potatoes in oil at about 160°C (320°F) so that they cook thoroughly. To check the right temperature, put a little bit of batter in oil. If the batter sinks to the bottom of the pan and rises immediately, it shows it's ready to dee-fry.
