- Malabar spinach100 g
- Batter
- Tempura flour80 g
- Water100 ml
- Frying oilas needed

How to make
- Prepare. Cut off the discolored part at the root of Malabar spinach.
- 1. Cut the Malabar spinach into 2-inch pieces and the thick part of the stem into 4 equal pieces.
- 2. Put batter ingredients into a bowl, mix them together, then add Step 1 and mix.
- 3. Pour frying oil to a height of 1-inch from the bottom of a pot and heat to 180°C (360°F). Add 1/6 of Step 2 at each time with chopsticks and fry for about 2 minutes until the batter becomes crispy, then drain the oil.
- 4. Serve on a plate and serve. Season with salt, and please enjoy it.
Tips for cooking
Adjust the amount of salt to your liking. In addition to salt, you can also eat it with tempura dipping sauce (tentsuyu). Please adjust the amount of water to match your tempura flour.
