- Chinese noodles1 head(s)
- Hot wateras needed
- Bitter melon100 g
- Thinly sliced pork80 g
- Onion50 g
- Hot water500 ml
- (A)Miso1 tbsp
- (A)Red miso1 tbsp
- (A)Gochujang1 tbsp
- (A)Fried onions1 tbsp
- (A)Chicken soup stock (powder, cube, liquid)1 tsp
- (A)Grated garlic1 tsp
- Salad oil1 tbsp
How to make
- Prepare. Remove seeds, white pith, and stems from a bitter melon.
- 1. Cut the bitter melon into 0.4-inch wide half-moon slices.
- 2. Chop onions finely.
- 3. Heat cooking oil in a pan over medium heat, add thinly sliced pork and stir-fry. When the color changes, add Step 1 and 2.
- 4. When the onions become transparent, add hot water and ingredient (A) and heat them. When it comes to a boil, remove from heat.
- 5. Bring water to a boil in a separate pot, add Chinese noodles, boil according to package directions, and drain.
- 6. Serve in a bowl, pour Step 4 over, and it's ready.
Tips for cooking
Adjust the amount of miso to your liking. We are using thinly sliced pork this time, but you can also substitute pork belly.
