Ingredients 6 onigiri
- Rice300 g
- Shredded pizza cheeze100 g
- Black pepper1/2 tsp
- Pork belly200 g
- (A)Sake2 tbsp
- (A)Japanese sweet cooking wine (Mirin)2 tbsp
- (A)Soy sauce2 tbsp
- (A)Sugar1 tbsp
- (A)Grated garlic1 tsp
- Sesame oil1 tbsp
- Garnish
- Frill lettuceas needed
How to make
- 1. Put rice, cheese for pizza, and black pepper in a bowl and mix together. Divide it into 6 equal parts, wrap it with plastic wrap, and make it to round shape.
- 2. Remove the wrap from Step 1 and fully wrap it with pork belly.
- 3. Add sesame oil to a pan heated over medium heat, place the end of the roll on Step 2 side down, and roll it to cook every side.
- 4. When pork belly is cooked through, add (A) and coat it over medium heat. Remove from heat when the flavors have blended well. Serve on a plate covered with frill lettuce and it's ready to eat.
Tips for cooking
Using thin slices of shabu-shabu meat makes it easier to roll and it's less likely to come off during grilling. Please adjust seasonings to taste. *Alcoholic beverage should be consumed if you are over legal age
