- Deep-fried thick tofu (Atsuage)60 g
- Hot wateras needed
- Daikon radish40 g
- Water400 ml
- Miso2 tsp
- Japanese style granulated soup stock1 tsp
- Young green onion (Konegi)as needed
How to make
- 1. Place deep-fried thick tofu (atsuage) in a heat-resistance bowl and pour hot water over it to remove the oil. After draining the water, cut and make the thickness into half and cut it into strips.
- 2. Peel the skin of daikon radish and cut it into strips.
- 3. Add water and Step 2 in a pot, and bring to a boil over medium heat.
- 4. Add 1 and Japanese style granulated soup stockr and bring to a boil. Dissolve in miso and turn off the heat.
- 5. Serve in bowls, sprinkle with young green onion (konegi), and it's ready to eat.
Tips for cooking
By pouring hot water to remove the oil from atsuage, the excess oil is removed and it becomes delicious. Do not boil the miso to keep the nice flavor.
