- Imitation crab6
- Green shiso leaves3 sheets
- (A)Tempura flour1 tbsp
- (A)Cold water1 tbsp
- Frying oilas needed
How to make
- 1. Cut off the stems of green shiso leaves, cut them in half, and roll imitation crabs into it.
- 2. Mix (A) in a bowl, then dip Step 1 into the mixture.
- 3. Heat about 0.4-inch of frying oil in a pot to 170°C (338°F). Add Step 2 and deep fry for about 2 minutes, once it's fried to a crisp, remove from the pan and drain the oil.
- 4. Arrange on a plate, and it's ready to serve.
Tips for cooking
Using cold water in batter-making gives a crisp finish.
