- Chicken thigh300 g
- Green shiso leaves2 sheets
- (A)Soy sauce1.5 tbsp
- (A)Sugar1 tbsp
- (A)Japanese sweet cooking wine (Mirin)1 tbsp
- (A)Wasabi1 tsp
- (A)Grated garlic1/2 tsp
- Water20 ml
- Salad oil1 tsp
- Young green onion (Konegi)as needed
How to make
- Prepare. Remove stems of the green shiso leaves.
- 1. Finely chop the green shiso leaves.
- 2. Cut chicken thighs into bite-sized pieces.
- 3. Add Step 1 and (A) in a bowl and mix.
- 4. Heat a pan over medium heat, add cooking oil, and grill Step 2.
- 5. When both sides are browned, add water, cover with a lid, and steam over low heat.
- 6. When the meat is cooked, add Step 3, mix the sauce well, and stir-fry over medium heat until the sauce is thickened.
- 7. Arrange on a plate and sprinkle with young green onion (konegi) to complete the dish.
Tips for cooking
Please adjust the seasoning to your taste. Wasabi tends to lose its flavor when heated, so please adjust the amount to your taste.
