- Konjac (Konnyaku)1 sheets
- Garlic1
- Sauce
- Soy sauce2 tbsp
- Japanese sweet cooking wine (Mirin)2 tbsp
- Gochujang1 tsp
- Roasted white sesame seeds1 tbsp
- Salted butter15 g
- Finishing
- Young green onion (Konegi)as needed
How to make
- Prepare. Parboil konjac to remove the bitterness.
- 1. Make some cut of a 0.2-inch wide grid on both sides of konjac and cut it into 0.8-inch squares.
- 2. Thinly slice the garlic.
- 3. Mix the sauce.
- 4. Heat pan over medium heat and melt salted butter. Add Step 2 and when it gets fragrant, add Step 1 and cook both sides.
- 5. Add Step 3 and stir-fry over medium heat. Once the sauce has thickened and the flavors have blended, transfer to a plate. Pour the remaining sauce into pan, sprinkle the young green onion (konegi) and it's ready to serve.
Tips for cooking
Please adjust the seasonings to your liking. Salted butter can be substituted for unsalted butter. In that case, please add salt to your taste.
