  • Silk tofu
    80 g
  • Green shiso leaves
    2 sheets
  • Semi-dried young sardines (chirimenjako)
    10 g
  • Sesame oil
    1 tbsp
  • Soy sauce
    1 tbsp
  • Roasted white sesame seeds
    1 tsp

How to make

  1. 1. Cut green shiso leaves into thin strips.
  2. 2. Heat sesame oil in a pan over medium heat and stir-fry the dried young sardines for 3~4 minutes until they are crispy.
  3. 3. Place tofu on a plate and top with Step 1 and Step 2. Sprinkle roasted white sesame seeds, pour soy sauce, and it's ready to serve.

Tips for cooking

You can also use chopped green onions instead of green shiso leaves. If you like, we recommend pouring a little chili oil (la-yu) or adding noodle soup base (mentsuyu) instead of soy sauce.
