- Udon2 head(s)
- Water2 tbsp
- Daikon radish200 g
- Water600 ml
- (A)Japanese sweet cooking wine (Mirin)2 tsp
- (A)Soy sauce2 tbsp
- (A)Japanese style granulated soup stock1 tsp
- Green shiso leaves2 sheets
How to make
- Prepare. Peel daikon radish and set aside.
- 1. Grate daikon radish. Slice green shiso leaves thinly.
- 2. Place udon noodles and water in a heat-resistant container, cover with plastic wrap, and heat as indicated on the package to thaw.
- 3. Heat water in a pot over medium heat, and when it boils, add (A), daikon radish from Step 1, and heat. When it comes to a boil again, add Step 2 and simmer.
- 4. When udon noodles are warm, remove from heat. Serve in a bowl, top with green shiso leaves from Step 1, and it's ready to serve.
