Ingredients 1 pancake (diameter 6-inch skillet)
- Powdered Ingredients
- Cake flour (Pastry flour)2 tbsp
- Baking powder1/4 tsp
- Egg yolk2
- Sugar2 tbsp
- Meringue
- Egg whites2
- Sugar1 tbsp
- Melted salted butter10 g
- Toppings
- Salted butter10 g
- Powdered sugaras needed
How to make
- Prepare. Preheat the oven to 160°C (320°F).
- 1. Brush the skillet with melted salted butter.
- 2. Combine the egg yolks and sugar in a bowl and whisk it until white.
- 3. Sift in the flour mixture and whisk it well until no longer powdery.
- 4. Make meringue. Place the egg whites in a separate bowl and add in the sugar 3 at a time, stirring each time with a hand mixer until the peaks form.
- 5. Add Step 4 a 3 at a time to Step 3, mixing each time lightly with a rubber spatula.
- 6. Pour into Step 1 and bake it in a 160°C (320°F) oven for about 20 minutes. If the batter doesn't stick to the bamboo skewer you pierced, it's cooked.
- 7. Add the topping while it's still hot and it’s ready to serve.
Tips for cooking
Please make sure to preheat the oven before baking. If the oven does not have a preheating function, set the temperature and heat for 10 minutes before baking. The strength of the heat may vary depending on the type of oven and the period of use. Please make sure to follow the recipe as a guide but adjust the baking time as needed. If it browns too fast, cover it with aluminum foil.
