- Sake2 slice(s)
- Shimeji mushrooms1/2
- Enoki mushroom1/2
- Sake2 tsp
- Sauce
- Onion1/4
- Garlic1
- (A)Japanese sweet cooking wine (Mirin)2 tbsp
- (A)Soy sauce2 tbsp
- Salted butter10 g
How to make
- 1. Cut off the hard tip of the shimeji mushroom, and divide it into small pieces.
- 2. Cut off the hard tip of the enoki mushroom and break it up.
- 3. Mince the onion and garlic.
- 4. Cut the sake into bite-sized pieces.
- 5. Mix Step 3 and ingredient (A) together in a bowl.
- 6. Place Step 1 and 2 in a heat-resistance plate and place Step 4 on top of them.
- 7. Sprinkle with cooking wine, cover it loosely with plastic wrap, and microwave it for 2 minutes at 600W.
- 8. Pour over Step 5, top it with butter, and bake it in a toaster oven for 8 minutes.
- 9. When the surface browns nicely and the sake is cooked through, it's ready to serve.
Tips for cooking
Sprinkle cooking wine on sake and heat it in the microwave to remove the fishy smell and to make the texture tender. The cooking degree depends on the type of toaster you are using, so please adjust the temperature as you check the conditions. This time it's baked at 1000W 220°C (430°F).
