Braised Japanese Green Bell Pepper (Piman) and Konjac Kinpira - Recipe Video

- Japanese green bell pepper (Piman)3
- Konjac (Konnyaku)100 g
- Seasoning
- Noodle soup base (Mentsuyu)3 tbsp
- Japanese sweet cooking wine (Mirin)1 tbsp
- Seven flavor chili pepper1/4 tsp
- Sesame oil1 tbsp
How to make
- Prepare. Parboil konjac to remove the bitterness.
- 1. Remove the stem and seeds from the bell pepper and cut it into 0.2-inch wide pieces.
- 2. Cut konjac in half and cut into thin strips about 1-inch long.
- 3. Add sesame oil to the heated pan over medium heat, and add Step 1 and Step 2 to stir-fry.
- 4. When the color of bell pepper becomes bright and cooked through, add the seasonings and stir-fry. Turn off the heat when the flavors have blended well.
- 5. Transfer to a plate and it's ready to serve.
Tips for cooking
If you are not used to spicy food, please adjust the amount of seven flavor chili pepper to your taste.
