- Pork loin200 g
- Hot water1000 ml
- Cooking sake1 tbsp
- Iced wateras needed
- Cucumber1
- Onion1/4

- Japanese leek10 cm
- (A)White ground sesame2 tbsp
- (A)Japanese Mayonnaise2 tbsp
- (A)Noodle soup base (Mentsuyu)1 tbsp
- (A)Sugar1 tsp
- Young green onion (Konegi)as needed
How to make
- 1. Cut off the stem of the cucumber and slice thinly with a peeler. Thinly slice the onion. Chop Japanese leek.
- 2. Soak Step 1 onions in water for about 10 minutes and drain.
- 3. Put Step 1 Japanese leek and ingredient (A) in a bowl and mix together.
- 4. Boil water in a pot, add cooking sake, and boil pork loin.
- 5. When pork loin is cooked, drain the water and cool in iced water.
- 6. Add Step 1 cucumber and drained Step 5 in a bowl and toss.
- 7. Arrange Step 2 and 6 on a plate, pour over Step 3, sprinkle young green onion (konegi), and it's ready to serve.
Tips for cooking
This time we used pork loin, but you can try it with your favorite part of meat. If you feel the spiciness of Japanese leek disturbing, soak it in water for about 10 minutes before sprinkling it with seasonings.
