- Rice200 g
- Sake1 slice(s)
- Japanese leek1/3
- (A)Cooking sake1 tbsp
- (A)Sugar1 tbsp
- (A)Japanese sweet cooking wine (Mirin)1 tbsp
- (A)Soy sauce1 tbsp
- Salad oil1 tbsp
- Toppings
- Green shiso leaves2 sheets
How to make
- Prepare. Remove the bones from sake. Cut off the stem for green shiso leaves.
- 1. Cut Japanese leek into 1-inch wide pieces.
- 2. Place cooking oil in a pan heated over medium heat, add sake and Step 1, and stir-fry. When both sides of sake have browned, cover and steam for about 5 minutes.
- 3. When sake is cooked through, add ingredient (A) and heat over low heat. Once the sauce has thickened and the flavors have been absorbed, remove from heat.
- 4. Place the rice in a bowl, and serve with green shiso leaves and Step 3, then it's ready to serve.
Tips for cooking
Please adjust the amount of soy sauce to your liking.
