  • Hot water

  • Noodle Soup
  • Japanese leek
    10 cm
  • Water
    100 ml
  • Soy sauce
    1 tbsp
  • Japanese sweet cooking wine (Mirin)
    1 tbsp
  • Roasted white sesame seeds
    1 tsp
  • Japanese style granulated soup stock
    1/2 tsp
  • Grated ginger
    1/2 tsp
  • Grated garlic
    1/2 tsp
  • Boiled egg
    1/2
  • Char siu pork
    20 g
  • Nori seaweed
    as needed

How to make

  1. Prepare. Heat Japanese sweet cooking wine (mirin) to let the alcohol evaporate and cool it.
  2. 1. Slice Japanese leek thinly.
  3. 2. Add the soup base (tsuyu) ingredients in a bowl and mix together. Cover with plastic wrap and chill in a refrigerator.
  4. 3. Bring a pot of water to a boil, boil the Chinese noodles according to the package description, drain, and cool under running water.
  5. 4. Place Step 2 and 3 on a plate. Put char siu (chashu) pork and boiled egg on the Chinese noodles, pour nori seaweed on top, and it's ready to serve.
