- Rice300 g
- Miso2 tbsp
- Japanese sweet cooking wine (Mirin)1 tbsp
- Salad oilas needed
How to make
- 1. Add miso and mirin (Japanese sweet cooking wine) into a bowl and mix together.
- 2. Divide the rice in half, wrap it in plastic wrap, mold it in a triangle shape, and make onigiri (Japanese rice ball).
- 3. Place aluminium foil on a baking tray and lightly spread vegetable oil.
- 4. Place Step 2 on the tray, spread Step 1 on the surface of onigiri, and bake in a toaster oven for about 5 minutes.
- 5. Once the surface has browned, place on a plate, and serve.
Tips for cooking
To prevent onigiri from sticking, cooking oil is coated on aluminium foil. You can substitute sesame oil on your preferences. The degree of heating may vary depending on the type of toaster you are using, so please check the condition and adjust the heating time as necessary. This time it's grilled in 1000W, 200℃.
