- Pork loin200 g
- Fish cake (Chikuwa)5
- Sliced cheese5 sheets
- Green shiso leaves10 sheets
- Cake flour (Pastry flour)10 g
- (A)Noodle soup base (Mentsuyu)3 tbsp
- (A)Japanese sweet cooking wine (Mirin)2 tbsp
- (A)Grated garlic1 tsp
- Sesame oil1 tbsp

- Green shiso leaves2 sheets
How to make
- Prepare. Cut off the stems of green shiso leaves.
- 1. Cut sliced cheese lengthwise into 6 equal pieces.
- 2. Make a slit lengthwise on fish cake (chikuwa) and insert Step 1 in between.
- 3. Spread 3 slices of pork loin, 0.8-inch apart, and place green shiso leaves on top.
- 4. Place Step 2 on top of it and roll, then sift the cake flour (pastry flour) through a tea strainer.
- 5. Heat sesame oil in a pan over medium heat, place the end of Step 4 face down, and grill.
- 6. When the pork loin is browned and cooked through, add (A), heat over medium heat, and mix well. When the flavors are well blended entirely, remove from the heat.
- 7. Spread green shiso leaves on a plate, arrange Step 6, and it's ready to serve.
Tips for cooking
You can make pork loin with your favorite parts, but please use thinly sliced pork.
