- Pork belly100 g
- Japanese leek10 cm
- Noodle Soup
- Water200 ml
- (A)Miso1 tbsp
- (A)White sesame paste1/2 tbsp
- (A)Soy sauce1 tsp
- (A)Chicken soup stock (powder, cube, liquid)1/2 tsp
- Plain soymilk200 ml
- Sesame oil1 tsp
- Toppings
- Young green onion (Konegi)as needed
- Roasted white sesame seeds1 tsp
- Chili Oil(La-yu)1 tsp
How to make
- 1. Slice Japanese leek diagonally to a width of step 0.2-inch.
- 2. Cut pork belly to a width of 0.8-inch.
- 3. Put sesame oil into a pot, add Step 2, and stir-fry over medium heat.
- 4. When the color of the pork belly changes, add water and bring to a boil over medium heat, then add Step 1.
- 5. When Japanese leek has softened, add (A) and heat over medium heat until the miso is dissolved.
- 6. When everything is mixed, add plain soymilk and heat over medium heat. Heat until just before boiling, then add udon noodles and heat as indicated on the package.
- 7. Remove from heat, arrange on a plate, top with toppings, and it's ready to serve.
Tips for cooking
Please adjust the amount of salt to your liking. plain soymilk has a different flavor, but you can substitute processed soy milk. You can substitute pork belly with other parts.
