- Japanese green bell pepper (Piman)40 g
- Onion30 g
- Spicy pollack roe20 g
- (A)White wine1.5 tsp
- (A)Granulated Japanese consomme soup stock1/2 tsp
- Salted butter15 g
How to make
- Prepare. Loosen the Japanese stir-fried noodles (yakisoba). Remove the core of the bell pepper. Remove the thin skin from the spicy cod/pollack roe (mentaiko) and break it up.
- 1. Cut the green pepper into thin strips. Thinly slice the onion.
- 2. Melt the salted butter in a skillet over medium heat, add Step 1, and saute for about 3 minutes.
- 3. When the onion softens, add the yakisoba noodles and stir-fry it over medium heat for about 1 minute.
- 4. When the yakisoba noodles loosen, add mentaiko and ingredient (A), and stir-fry together over medium heat. Remove from the heat when the flavors have blended.
- 5. Transfer to a plate and it's ready to serve.
Tips for cooking
You can also use a red or a yellow bell pepper instead of a green bell pepper.
