- Chicken thigh300 g
- Starch2 tbsp
- Cooking sake1 tbsp
- (A)Soy sauce1 tbsp
- (A)Japanese sweet cooking wine (Mirin)1 tbsp
- (A)Sugar1 tsp
- Salad oil2 tsp
- Garnish
- Mesclun greensas needed
How to make
- Prepare. Remove the excess fat from chicken thigh.
- 1. Cut chicken thigh into bite-sized pieces.
- 2. Sprinkle starch all over.
- 3. Heat a pan over medium heat, add cooking oil, add Step 2 from the skin side, and cook for about 5 minutes. When it browns nicely, flip it over and cook.
- 4. Pour in cooking sake evenly, cover with a lid, and steam over medium heat. When the liquid evaporates and chicken thigh is cooked through, add ingredient (A) and stir fry to combine.
- 5. When all the flavors are blended, remove from heat. Serve on a plate, garnish with mesclun greens and it's ready to serve.
Tips for cooking
You can cook with chicken breast instead of chicken thigh. *You must be of legal drinking age to consume alcoholic beverages.
