How to make

  1. 1. Cut each ingredient (A) into your desired size.
  2. 2. Once you've cracked the eggs and separated the egg whites and yolks in different bowls, chill the egg whites in the freezer.
  3. 3. In the bowl with the yolks, add the sifted (B), milk, and vanilla extract, and whisk with a whisker until smooth.
  4. 4. Remove the egg whites from the freezer and beat lightly with a hand mixer.
  5. 5. Add sugar in a 2 at a time and beat until peaks stiffly.
  6. 6. Scoop a small amount from Step 5 and add to Step 3 and mix.
  7. 7. Return Step 6 to Step 5 and mix gently from the bottom.
  8. 8. Place the desired amount of Step 6 on the pan with thinly coated cooking oil and cook over low heat.
  9. 9. Add 1 tablespoon of boiling water to Step 8 from the side, cover with a lid, and steam over low heat for 7 minutes.
  10. 10. If the bottom of Step 9 is browned, gently flip it over, add the remaining boiling water, cover again, and steam for 5 minutes.
  11. 11. Place Step 10 on a plate, top with Step 1 and whipping cream (heavy cream), and it's ready to serve.

Tips for cooking

When mixing meringue with a rubber spatula in Step 6, be careful not to overmix. In Step 7, pour the dough thickly so that it rises to its height. You can use an electric griddle if you have one at home.
