Ingredients 1 serving
- Rice200 g
- Pickled mustard greens30 g
- Spicy pollack roe30 g
- Water200 ml
- (A)Japanese style granulated soup stock1 tsp
- (A)Soy sauce1 tsp
- (A)Salt2 three finger pinches
- Roasted white sesame seedsas needed
- Nori seaweedas needed
How to make
- 1. Cut the spicy cod/pollack roe (mentaiko) in half.
- 2. Add water and the ingredient (A) to a pot and bring to a boil over high heat.
- 3. Place the rice in a bowl and top with Step 1, pickled mustard greens (takana-duke), and white roasted sesame seeds, then sprinkle Step 2.
- 4. Top with nori seaweed and it's ready to serve.
Tips for cooking
You can also enjoy the mentaiko with roasted mentaiko. It is also delicious adding vegetables such as mizuna mustard greens.
