- Rice400 g
- Sushi vinegar2 tbsp
- Barracuda (Dried kamasu)2
- Salad oil2 tsp
- Cucumber1
- Japanese pickled plum paste (Bainiku)2 tbsp
- Roasted white sesame seeds1 tsp
How to make
- Prepare. Cut off the stem of cucumber.
- 1. Thinly slice the cucumber into round slices.
- 2. Place cooking oil on a pan, place dried barracuda (kamasu), and cook over medium heat for 5 minutes on each side. Once it has browned nicely and cooked through, remove from the heat.
- 3. Remove the bones and skin and break the meat.
- 4. Add rice and sushi vinegar in a bowl and lightly mix together, then add Step 1, 3, and Japanese pickled plum paste (bainiku) and mix together.
- 5. Serve on a plate, sprinkle white roasted sesame seeds, and it's ready to serve.
Tips for cooking
Please use your favorite umeboshi. Dried kamasu fish can also be grilled on a grill.
