- Daikon radish400 g
- Deep-fried thick tofu (Atsuage)1 sheets
- Water400 ml
- (A)Soy sauce2 tbsp
- (A)Japanese sweet cooking wine (Mirin)2 tbsp
- (A)Cooking sake2 tbsp
- (A)Japanese style granulated soup stock2 tsp
How to make
- Prepare. Peel daikon radish. Remove excess oil from deep-fried thick tofu (atsuage) by pouring boiled water over it.
- 1. Cut daikon radish into 0.8-inch wide cut into half-moon pieces, put them in a heat-resistant bowl, cover loosely with plastic wrap, and microwave for about 3 minutes at 600 W.
- 2. Cut deep-fried thick tofu (atsuage) in half and cut into 0.8-inch wide pieces.
- 3. Add Step 1 and water into a pot and heat it over medium heat, bring to a boil, then add Step 2 and (A), cover with a drop lid, and simmer for about 30 minutes. When the daikon radish has softened, remove it from the heat.
- 4. Plate it and it's ready to serve.
Tips for cooking
