- Batter
- Cake flour (Pastry flour)100 g
- Eggs1
- Water50 ml
- Japanese style granulated soup stock1 tsp
- Cabbage80 g
- Camembert cheese100 g
- Pork belly50 g
- Salad oil1 tbsp
- Toppings
- Okonomiyaki sauce2 tbsp
- Japanese Mayonnaise1 tbsp
- Dried green seaweed flakes (Aonori)1/4 tsp
- bonito flakes2 g
How to make
- 1. Shred the cabbage.
- 2. Add all the dough ingredients except for Step 1 in a bow, mix well, and when everything is blended, add Step 1 and mix.
- 3. Spread cooking oil over a medium heated pan, spread it out with a paper towel, and pour in half of Step 2.
- 4. Place the camembert cheese in the center, then place the remaining Step 2 and the pork belly, then cook it over medium heat.
- 5. Once browned, flip it and cook over medium heat for about 5 minutes.
- 6. Once it's cooked through, remove it from the heat, place it on a plate, top it with topping ingredients and it's ready to serve.
Tips for cooking
This time we are using whole Camembert cheese, but you can substitute it with the cheese of your choice. Please adjust the amount of topping as you like.
