Spicy Pollack/cod Roe (Mentaiko) & Japanese Mayonnaise Tossed Daikon Radish Salad - Recipe Video

- Daikon radish300 g
- Spicy pollack roe30 g
- Japanese Mayonnaise3 tbsp
- Noodle soup base (Mentsuyu)1/2 tsp
- Young green onion (Konegi)as needed
- bonito flakesas needed
How to make
- 1. Peel the skin of daikon radish and shred it.
- 2. Make a slit at skin of spicy pollack/cod roe (mentaiko) and scrapes out the meat.
- 3. Mix mayonnaise and noodle soup base (mentsuyu) together in a bowl, then add Step 2 and mix together.
- 4. Toss Step 1 and Step 3 together, place it on a plate, then add young green onion (konegi) and bonito flakes, and it's ready to serve.
Tips for cooking
In this recipe, we didn't use the skin of mentaiko to bring the texture smooth. It's also nice to make with salted pollack/cod roe (tarako) instead of mentaiko.
