Ingredients 2 onigiri
- Rice350 g
- Ground chicken130 g
- Japanese green bell pepper (Piman)2
- Carrot1/2
- (A)Soy sauce1 tbsp
- (A)Sake1/2 tbsp
- (A)Japanese sweet cooking wine (Mirin)1 tsp
- (A)Grated ginger2 tsp
- Salad oil1 tbsp
- Salt and pepper mixa pinch
- Nori seaweed4 sheets
How to make
- 1. Remove the core of the green bell peppers and chop into small pieces. Remove the stem of the carrot, peel the skin and chop into small pieces.
- 2. Add (A) to a bowl and mix.
- 3. Put cooking oil in a pan, add ground chicken, sprinkle salt and pepper mix, and stir-fry. When the ground chicken is cooked, add Step 1 and stir-fry further.
- 4. When the vegetables are cooked, reduce the heat to low, add Step 2, and stir-fry. When all the juice has evaporated, remove from heat.
- 5. In a separate bowl, mix rice and Step 4.
- 6. Wrap each 1/4 of the mixture in plastic wrap, and use your hands to press and form a triangle. Remove the plastic wrap, wrap nori seaweed around the rice, and place on a plate to serve.
Tips for cooking
Please adjust the seasoning to your taste. For ground chicken, you can substitute your favorite kind of ground meat.
