- Daikon radish500 g
- (A)Ponzu sauce3 tbsp
- (A)Japanese sweet cooking wine (Mirin)1 tsp
- (A)Sugar1 tsp
- (A)Grated ginger1 tsp
- Salad oil1 tbsp
- Radish sproutsas needed
How to make
- Prepare. Peel the daikon radish. Cut off the root of the radish sprouts.
- 1. Cut the daikon radish into 0.8 inch wide round slices and make a 0.6-inch wide grid on the surface.
- 2. Place in a heat-resistance bowl, cover with plastic wrap, and microwave for 5 minutes at 600 W.
- 3. Add cooking oil to a heated pan, add Step 2 ingredients, and cook over medium heat.
- 4. Once browned, flip and cook over medium heat until browned.
- 5. Add (A), bring to a boil, place on a plate with radish sprouts, and it's ready to serve.
Tips for cooking
The ingredients are very hot after heating in the microwave, so please be careful not to burn yourself. You can use daikon radish with any thickness you like.
