- Chicken breast250 g
- Cake flour (Pastry flour)3 tbsp
- Sauce
- Cooking sake2 tbsp
- Japanese sweet cooking wine (Mirin)2 tbsp
- Soy sauce2 tbsp
- Honey1 tbsp
- Frying oilas needed
- Roasted white sesame seeds1/2 tsp
How to make
- 1. Cut chicken breast to a thickness of about 0.2-inch and then cut to a width of 0.6-inch.
- 2. Add Step 1 and cake flour (pastry flour) to a zipper bag and rub well from outside.
- 3. Pour 1-inch depth of frying oil into a pan, heat to 180℃ (360°F), and add Step 2. Deep-fry for about 4 minutes and drain the oil when cooked.
- 4. Add the sauce ingredients to a separate pan and bring to a boil over medium heat, then add Step 3, mix to toss, and remove from heat once the flavors have absorbed.
- 5. Transfer to a plate, pour in the remaining sauce evenly, sprinkle white roasted sesame seeds, and it's ready to serve.
Tips for cooking
Coat cake flour (pastry flour) firmly on the chicken breast. By coating the sauce right after deep frying, the taste will blend easily. This recipe uses honey. Please be careful not to let children below the age of 1 (infants) consume them. You can substitute honey with sugar, but since the sweetness varies depending on the type, we recommend adjusting the taste to your liking. *You must be of legal drinking age
